►Workshop Overview

• $175 registration fee per adult // $125 registration fee for students 18 and under. First come, first served.

• Limited to 20 participants in each segment
• In order to protect our business sources, the workshop is only open to those people who outside a 100 mile radius of RHD. The exception to this would be those clients who are current website clients of RHD. • Great for building your portfolio and gaining opportunities to juniors to take photos for summer photography contests in a rural setting!
• Instructors include Rachel Cutrer, Joelynn Donough, and Stacey Shanks

• Designed for those interested in beef cattle photography, and those who want to take their own livestock photos for their ranch ads and websites. Also great for those who also want to improve their candid livestock photography skills (showring shots, landscapes, etc.)
• Learn how to properly capture an image of animals at the highest quality.
• Classroom will cover all species of livestock photography (swine, sheep, cattle, goats).
• Participants will practice shooting beef cattle on V8 Ranch both on halter, in pens, and in natural pasture scenes.
• Topics covered include camera settings, lighting, editing basics, color correcting and enhancing, image management, equipment selection and management, Photoshop basics such as halter removal, picture pen set up, livestock posing, attention getting devices, show photography, pasture photography, ethical livestock photo retouching, re-sizing your images for web, and more.
• Workshop includes 3 hours of classroom instruction followed by 2 hours of on-site practice livestock photography at V8 Ranch including photography of haltered animals, animals loose in pens, and in pastures. (The on site session is the best part of the workshop, and highly recommended, but it is optional and not required if you wish to not participate in that segment.)
