Emily Forgason
Project Manager
and Social Media Director
emily@ranchhousedesigns.com
Emily Forgason is one of our unique staff members at RHD who started working here as a student worker, then returned to the company in a more advanced position. Emily began working at Ranch House Designs while she was a high school student in 2008, where she did basically every job in the company from the ground up. After working here four years, she graduated from high school and left Hungerford for the bright lights and the big city college life.In 2012, Emily re-joined the RHD team in a much greater capacity. Building on her college experiences, more maturity, and her great background in livestock, she became one of our livestock project managers and also handles our social media efforts.
Emily brings a world of practical experience in the livestock business. She grew up on the historic J.D. Hudgins, Inc. Brahman ranch in Wharton County. From an early age, she helped with every aspect of daily ranch life. She has done everything you can imagine regarding cattle ranch life, from feeding to breeding to showing to marketing. She is also the only female member of the cattle show crew at Joyce Custom Fitters in her spare time. It is this real world experience that our customers come to appreciate from Emily. She is the kind of project manager who just 'takes over' and helps customers get the results they want.
We laugh amongst ourselves here at the office at how much things have changed since she first joined our team years ago. At one point during her high school career, Emily was sent home from work for breaking our office rules of "no facebook or myspace during office hours." Ironically, today one of Emily's main jobs is serving as our social media director. Once she nearly got fired for facebook, today it's her job. In this position, Emily manages the social media efforts of our company as well as manages the accounts of several clients. She also helps teach our customers the proper use of facebook and twitter.
Among Emily's best strengths are her outstanding organizational skills and ability to listen to each customer and help them get the desired results they want and need. She takes pride in her experience and talents in helping others. She also represents RHD at many of the major livestock shows across the nation, where she enjoys meeting and visiting with fellow beef producers. |
